AttorneysJonathan A. Judd concentrates his practice on casualty defense, including Labor Law and construction claims, premises liability, products liability, and professional liability matters, as well as appeals. While serving as a court attorney in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, Second Department, Jonathan had the opportunity to hone his legal research and writing skills while acquainting himself with the nuances of appellate practice. An accomplished litigator, Jonathan is a frequent lecturer to both attorneys and clients on defense related issues such as insurance and indemnification, premises liability, products liability and conducting and defending effective depositions. His articles entitled “Use of a Plaintiff’s Culpable Conduct as a Silver Bullet” and “Cherry Changes Sole Proximate Cause Defense in Construction Law Actions” were published in the New York Law Journal. He has also been quoted for his legal analysis in Crain’s New York Business, The Wall Street Journal, and other periodicals. Jonathan received a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors from Binghamton University in 1986 and a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law in 1989. In 2009, he earned a certificate from the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
