Attorneys

Carmen A. Nicolaou has extensive experience in representing nightclubs and bars in negligent security and assault and battery claims. She also has extensive experience in representing sports and entertainment entities, promoters of live entertainment, property owners and contractors in personal injury actions, as well as experience in construction liability, property damage claims, products liability, toxic torts and business torts. In addition, Carmen also advises businesses in employment-related compliance issues and state and federal statutory requirements.

An experienced litigator, Carmen has also written and lectured on negligent security and Dram Shop litigation, as well as the enforceability of waivers executed in connection with participation in sporting and recreational events.

Carmen is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and Westchester County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Westchester County Association, an organization focused on addressing public policy issues with respect to businesses within Westchester County. She has served as a judge for the New York State Bar Association High School Mock Trial Tournament.

Carmen graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from John Jay College and received her Juris Doctor from the Hofstra University School of Law. 

She is admitted to practice in the State of New York, and before the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York.
